The James Sales Parent Teacher Organization, or PTO, plays a very important part in the James Sales community. We are an enthusiastic group engaged in a variety of activities throughout the year that directly and indirectly benefit all the children of James Sales. Parents, staff and community people volunteer in many ways to make a difference for our children.  

While we appreciate your membership support of PTO, you do not have to be a member to be involved!  Any help, whether large or small, is always needed and appreciated. To volunteer at school, complete the district's on-line volunteer clearance form each year.

Membership Fees:
$7 for individuals
$10 for a family
Please make checks payable to: James Sales PTO. Membership covers the current school year.

Here are two simple ways for us to help our school collect funds and obtain free school supplies:
1.  Box Tops for Education - 
Our school receives 10 cents for every box top! You can send your Box Tops to school in a baggie with your student's teacher's name written on it. PTO keeps track of all submissions and awards two traveling Box Top Trophies each month to the classes that collect the most Box Tops! One trophy goes to the winning classroom from grades K, 1, and 3. The other trophy goes to the winning classroom from grades 2, 4, and 5. 

2.  Shoparoo is a convenient fundraising app you download to your Android or Apple phone. This is an easy way to help from home. Just snap a picture of your qualifying receipts and earn points for our school. Please select James Sales Elementary as the school you would like to support. Visit to sign up.

We have many opportunities to volunteer at school also! Ask your child's teacher if he/she needs help in the classroom.

Treat/Popcorn Fridays - We alternate every Friday between Treats and Popcorn. We need volunteers from 9-10 am on Treat days and from 9-11 am on Popcorn days.

Book Fair - Book fairs are held twice a year in the school library. Volunteers are needed to help students pick out books, count change, run the registers, and help set up and tear down displays.

Our two major yearly fundraisers are:
            *Catalog/Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough in October.
            *World's Finest Chocolate in March.
